ChrisRstyle: I clearly haven’t spent as much time as I should at Caruso Caruso — I had absolutely no idea that they carry my favorite Alternative Apparel hoodies! Much cheaper than Free City (and just as comfortable and good-looking). Bought a light blue one, then thought I lost it until it surfaced on my mother this past weekend. Needless to say, she still hasn’t given it back!

SamlovesBham: It’s that time of the year – so many fun events to look forward to! The Bham Youth Action Board (YAB) is planning some awesome events for this summer. Battle of the Bands is June 18 @ 7pm in Booth Park and Movie Nights start June 25 @ 7:30pm featuring Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs in Booth Park as well. If you’re looking for some local entertainment, we at Seaholm have the Collage Music Concert and the Drama Showcase coming up in the next couple of weeks! On the corner of Bates and Maple, Backcountry North has officially opened its third location in the state, making brands like Arc’Teryx, The North Face and PrAna, available to all of the Downtown Birmingham shoppers! You HAVE to check it out, they have legitimately everything to look fab for the outdoors!

ChrisRstyle: The other day I was walking through the halls of Groves, like any other normal day, and came across a scene that was very unordinary. My friend and I were rushing to our next class and walked right past Mike Posner, which was a huge shock to us because we’re crazy fans of this emerging singer, songwriter and producer… who actually attended high school at Groves! He was just there, like walking in the halls like it was no big deal. One thing to note, he has excellent style. His album is coming out this summer and I even heard his single, “Cooler Than Me” on the radio yesterday — SO EXCITING!
ChrisRstyle: Last week, it was 80 degrees outside, and let me just tell you I thanked whoever is up there. I have been dying to wear my spring clothes basically since the winter started. I was excited for cold clothes for about the first day, and then realized I missed the warmth and shorts and short sleeves. Here are some great picks for spring!

SamlovesBham: Hey girls, prom season has arrived! I found my dress and shoes, but if you haven’t I suggest shopping around Downtown Birmingham. I spotted a lot of gorgeous dresses and shoes (and who would miss an opportunity for new shoes?). Cinderella’s Attic (420 E. Frank) has some fantastic vintage dresses and shoes. If you are a serious shoe lover you HAVE to check out the shoes at Tender (271 W. Maple) — a little on the pricey side, but soooo gorgeous!
SamlovesBham: Springtime is here (it’s Michigan, we take what nice weather we can get) and there are lots of fun things to do around Birmingham! I’m a lifeguard for Community Open Swim which is on Sundays at Groves from 1-3pm. You can buy passes on the community education website, and check out the dates it’s open!
