Filed under: Movies — SamlovesBham @ 4:50 pm

SamlovesBham: New movies are hitting the theaters and Matinee Madness (only $5 to see a movie Monday-Thursday in Bham before 8pm)! Highly anticipated movies that you can see this week include Dear John (I am sososo excited for this one, it is going to be adorable, and the book is really good too), When in Rome (who doesn’t love a good romantic comedy). If you aren’t into romance, then you can check out The Lovely Bones (I’ve heard good things, and I can’t wait to see this one), or you can always visit www.birmingham8.com to see what else is playing!

Air-Conditioned Oxfords

ChrisRstyle: I, to my dismay, completely missed this trend.  Oxfords are taking over every magazine.  Completely.  Thank goodness we have access to such a thriving downtown area with TONS of different kinds of Oxfords readily accessible. I spotted a great selection at ANTHROPOLOGIE!

Crew Neck Sweaters! January 11, 2010

Filed under: Fashion — ChrisRstyle @ 4:19 pm

ChrisRstyle: I am obsessed with crew necks; they are actually the most comfortable things on the planet!  Lets be honest, every now and then we need a day to just snuggle up in our clothes.  I wore one today and it was a religious experience.  I HIGHLY recommend them.

Happy Gifting! December 23, 2009

Filed under: Bham Events — SamlovesBham @ 6:59 pm

SamlovesBham: “Hey Sam! Can’t wait for tonight!!” A week earlier, while caroling for Seaholm’s Choir, Sam wasEmJ talking about how she was going to pass out gifts with the Youth Action Board (YAB) on Dec. 17. When I heard her saying this I practically jumped on her saying “I want to help! I love being like Santa.” So one week later, Sam and I head to the meeting place to get the presents. We pack up, and head out, and it wasn’t even 6 minutes until we were mobbed by tons of wide eyed people on the street saying “oh look it’s the secret Santas”! We ran into packs of kids, teens, even HUGE groups of adults! Even though we practically got mobbed every time we went out, I had so much fun!

That was Emily, a freshman from Seaholm and one of my friends. We had a great time with the Magic of Birmingham, and I know that all of the shoppers did too!

Happy Holidays Everybody!
